For anglers who might want to fish flowing water, look elsewhere. Most creeks, streams, and rivers will be too high for good fishing and possibly unsafe for wading. Check the USGS water gauge before venturing out. Ponds and lakes may be the best bets with ponds and smaller lakes ideal for new or inexperienced anglers. As previously reported, fishing has been good for panfish and largemouth bass. Beginning fly anglers could do well using poppers, terrestrial patterns, nymphs, and streamers. The weather won't be great. The forecast is for more rain in the form of showers. Both days will have highs close to 80 and lows in the 60's....
